Pete – Chair. Pete acts as Chair on the committee as is responsible for keeping tabs on the overall running of the club. He started playing badminton with some of his friends on a Monday evening back in 2013. Initially with the intention of having a safe, non-competitive space for newbies to the sport to try it out. This grew and grew until eventually becoming an official club in 2019. Pete is really proud of Northern Cocks and will be there to welcome you on your first session with us.

Dean – Vice Chair. Dean joined the committee in 2020 and soon became an invaluable member of the team, looking after court bookings, finances, and general operations. He stepped up as vice-chair in 2022 and has continued his contributions to the club.

Gareth – Treasurer. Gareth joined the club all the way back in 2013 when Pete first created it, way before there was a need for a committee. Having always been there to help, Gareth stepped up to the committee in 2019 when the club became official. Currently, Gareth looks after the finances, ensuring that money is accounted for and court bookings are up to date. 

Dan – Design & Social. Dan joined the committee in 2022 after already offering his masterful design skills to the club on previous occasions. Dan is the man to thank for our logo, our amazing imagery throughout the website and social channels, and our printed materials. Dan’s design skills are second-to-none, and you will often find him posting on our Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages. 

Jordan – General Secretary. Jordan joined the committee in 2022 and has been keeping us all in line ever since! Jordans organisational skills are exemplary and have been essential for the clubs recent successes. Jordan is also our biggest chatterbox, so you will undoubtedly hear him at the sessions, even if you can’t see him!

James – Membership Co-ordinator. James joined the committee in 2022 and took the role of organising our memberships. Thanks to James, we have an easy-to-use system for inputting your details, so if you haven’t already – do it now! James’s friendly face will be at most sessions, welcoming you all on your first session. 

Eko – Admin Assistant. Eko joined the committee in 2022 and has been assisting the whole committee on the day-to-day organising of events, socials, and badminton sessions. Eko is always eager to help out and is exemplary in representing the approachable nature of the entire committee. 

Tracey – Equality and Diversity. Tracey joined the committee in 2019 and has consistently been the most bubbly and welcoming member of the club ever since. Responsible for ensuring everyone feels welcome, you will often see video and picture updates coming from this lovely lass. 

Jason – Social Media. Jason joined the committee in 2022 after already assisting in setting up some of our social media accounts. While often helping out other committee members with their duties, Jason is usually the one to update our Twitter and Instagram accounts, as well as our social WhatsApp chat and Announcements WhatsApp chat.
